The statement, "I am always responsible for my actions" is very debatable. In my opinion, I agree that I am always responsible for my actions. In my experiences, I have learned that whether I do something right or wrong, I have to take responsibility for my actions. For example, if I punch someone in the face and get sent to the dean’s office, I have to take responsibility for what i did. Even if the person punched me first and I was only defending myself, I still punched him back and am responsible for it. If I rescued someone from a burning building, I am responsible for it because I physically saved the person. If you commit any action at all, you are responsible for it because you are the person that committed these actions. No one else is responsible for your actions because you are the one who committed it. Unless someone else is forcing you to commit an action, you are always responsible for what you do.

  1. I agree. I believe that we are all responisble for our own actions. There are many times when we want to place the blame on others and tell ourselves that it wasn't us. The strongest people are the ones that can admit blame and own up to their mistakes. As well, the more responsibilty we have of realizing what we did wrong, the better chances that those things don't happen again.

  2. I completely agree with your opinion on taking responsibilty for your own actions. If you do something wrong, it is no ones fault but your own. Even if you were provocted into doing something you alone were the person resposible for the actions taken and for making the choice to go through with the poor decision. If I break something in my house, I can't get away with blaming my sister because both she and I know that it was really my fault. I would have to take responsibility for my actions because I alone would be responsible.
